One of the best things about this time of year is the opportunity to show tangible appreciation for others through giving gifts. That's why our school has the "Wish Upon a Star" program for our teachers.
Starting tomorrow, there will be paper trees on each teacher's door with paper stars attached. The teachers have written specific needs on each star, and students may choose a star gift to give to the teacher. Participation is totally voluntary, and parents are welcome to come to the school and help their child choose a star. It's exciting for kids to give their teacher a gift, and this program helps the teachers to be able to meet some of their classroom needs.
Because while things like apples and chocolate are totally fabulous, sometimes nothing says "I love you" like a good stapler.
Watch for a note home today that includes more details. Please have your child bring the gift back to their teacher by December 18.
